Congratulations to Central Lyon Fire’s newest Captain. Cody Mandeville. Cody spent almost 10 years with the Silver State Hot Shot Crew before joining Central Lyon Fire in 2016. There is a saying that goes “There is no elevator to success – only stairs.” Cody’s journey with Central Lyon Fire has been just like that saying, one step at a time, one level up every step. Methodical and focused. Cody graduated from the Regional Fire Academy in 2017, completed Paramedic school in 2020, and was signed off as a wildland fire Division Supervisor in 2020. Cody also completed the “Scale the Strat” stair climb in Las Vegas, 108 floors, thousands of steps, all while “on-air” and wearing full structural turnout gear… He finished second. We look forward to getting better everyday with Captain Cody Mandeville.
